How To Watermark Photos
Protecting photos with Watermarkly is as easy as 1-2-3. 1 - Select photos for watermarking. 2 - Design or select your watermark template. 3 - Download watermarked photos.
Step 1 – Select Photos For Watermarking
Watermarkly supports loading photos from your computer, Google Drive and Dropbox.
Selecting Photos From Your Computer
Drag and drop photos or entire folders to Watermarkly window, or click Select Images button and choose required photos/folders in the ‘Open File’ dialog. To select all photos contained in a folder, press Ctrl+A on Windows or Cmd+A on Mac.
Selecting Photos From Google Drive
Click Add Images button and select From Google Drive menu item. A dialog asking you to approve Watermarkly will appear. Watermarkly is asking for a permission to read photos from your Google Drive. Once you approve Watermarkly to access your photos, official Google Drive Picker will appear. You can select one or several photos by clicking them holding Shift pressed on your keyboard.
Selecting Photos From Dropbox
Click Add Images button and select From Dropbox menu item. A dialog asking you to approve Watermarkly will appear. Watermarkly is asking for a permission to read files from your Dropbox account. Once you approve Watermarkly to access your files, official Dropbox Picker will appear. You can select one or several photos by clicking them holding Shift pressed on your keyboard.
To clear selected images, click the ‘Clear’ button.
Step 2 – Create Your Brand New Watermark
At this step, you can customize the watermark (layout, position, opacity and appearance) and make it look personal. You can add a logo (Add Logo), plain text (Add Text) or a combination of both (Add Group, coming soon).
Watermarkly puts 10 built-in watermark templates to help you quickly create your own watermark. A watermark template can contain a logo and up to three text lines. You can add as many watermark templates as required to compose your brand new watermark.
Click the Add Group button and select the required template. To provide your own logo, select a watermark template with the ‘Logo’ glyph.
Depending on a template you have selected at previous step, you should specify your own logo and text (title and/or subtitle, phone number, etc.).
Click a watermark element (logo or text) to select it. Configuration options will appear next to it.
Step 3 – Specify Output Settings and Watermark Photos
Watermarkly provides the following output options:
Auto-Scale Watermarks. When you design a watermark Watermarkly automatically changes the watermark’s size and position for every photo in the batch. It will make the watermark smaller for smaller images and larger for larger photos. All done automatically.
Resize Photos. Select one of the following resize methods: Do not resize images, Fit image width (to the specified number of pixels), Fit image height (to the specified number of pixels), Fit width and height (to the specified number of pixels) and Percentage. Don’t publish high-res photos online to avoid them from being stolen.
Previewing Watermarked Photos
Preview button opens up a screen that allows you to customize watermark position for particular photos in the batch. You can click through selected photos and see how the watermark looks on them. If you don’t like the position, click the watermark and drag it to the desired position. You can also change the watermark’s size if necessary.
Once you’re happy with the results, close the dialog by clicking the cross in the top-right corner and click the Watermark Images button to start watermarking your photos.
Applying A Watermark
Once all required output settings are specified, click Watermark Images button to start watermarking your photos.
Please note that your original photos won’t be changed. They will always remain intact on your computer, Google Drive or Dropbox accounts.
